RoHS restricts the use of specific harmful materials in manufacturing, which include lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (CrVI), polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). The regulation also applies to four phthalates: DEHP, BBP, DBP, and DIBP. These materials pose significant threats to human health and the environment.
