Prior to initial operative use and following every surgical procedure, this instrument must be reprocessed in strict compliance with ANSI/AAMI ST79 guidelines:

Ultrasonic Cleaning: Fully immerse in an enzymatic detergent solution (neutral pH 7.0–8.5) and cycle in an ultrasonic bath for 10–15 minutes.
Lubrication: Apply medical-grade, water-soluble instrument lubricant (surgical milk) to all articulating joints and hinge assemblies.
Steam Sterilization: Dynamic-air-removal (pre-vacuum) autoclave cycle at 134°C (273°F) for a minimum 4-minute exposure, followed by a 30-minute drying phase.
